Below are some of the many types of blades used by our military. The more ornate ones are used mostly for ceremonial purposes, But the Soldiers that wield them are highly skilled in their use.
All of the blades made for our military are made with "sky iron", the unique blend of adamantium and other metals used by the Ice Bears, and are imbued with Arcana.
This combination makes them among the best blades in the known Multiverse. Different amounts of each metal can be used to customize the weight of the blade.
Even reinforced with Arcane magic, these blades are not a match for lightsabers, but they can slice through almost any body armor. Metal made with this process is called Lolthice metal.

Below are the blades used by our other species, primarily the Drow. From childhood each Drow is trained in the use of edged weapons, especially the use of dual scimitars, dual daggers, dual short swords, axe/dagger combination and the dagger/longsword combination. They are quite proficient in the use of claymores and spears as well, along with a broad variety of other melee weapons. It is very rare for a Drow to go in public without his or her blades
